Love Is A Many Splintered Thing

On April 27th, 2003, RoboChrist Industries performed "Love Is A Many Splintered Thing" at the 2003 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The theme of the performance was an exploration of the difficulties and challenges endemic to long-term relationships. The narrative was realized through the use of over-sized male and female masks worn by the Subjugator and Manipulatrix as well as with road sign-like graphic representations of various temptations and a full-scale house built by the inimitable Jason Hadley and crew. Needless to say, all these props, along with many others, AND an unexpectedly high proportion of the actual machines met with an untimely and premature demise!
