The Necropod was built in 2 weeks (!) for part of a Sci-Fi Channel television special called "Man Vs. Machine." At this time there is no known airdate for this show. The machine was built with the help of the extremely talented John Besse and Zack Bieber. It features a horizontally actuated jaw mounted on a telescopic extension slide, which is in turn mounted on a scissor lift mechanism affixed to a tracked base. It also sports twin Hydrogen-over-liquid fuel flamethrowers on actuate arms. The entire machine is powered by eight automotive style batteries which in turn power two electric-vehicle type drive motors and a 48-volt hydraulic power unit.
