Comfort Inn Job Pix

The story behind this job is truly hilarious. The gag was that these hotel signs are walking like people on a mountain road, and one accidentally falls off a cliff and lands on the dirt road below, as seen in the third picture, entitled "The Hill". I made a pneumatically actuated "puppet", seen in the first two pictures, which was to be thrown off the cliff while his remote-controlled pneumatic legs kicked in the air. The first take went fine. However, on the second take, while I was busy making the puppet's legs flail about by radio-control, the puppet itself was busy gaining a little too much speed on the way down. The puppet, which weighed about 100 pounds, hit the dirt road and just kept rolling, as seen in the pictures "VidCap 1" and "Vidcap 2". In "Vidcap 3," the puppet is gone and the two guys who were supposed to catch it are just watching it fall away. There was some confusion as to whether to retrieve it or not, but that canyon was very deep. The last picture shows it's resting place to this day.
